Tiger Online
I read your preview of Tiger Woods 06 for the XBox 360, which was published yesterday. I just had a quick question for Jon Robinson. Did you see any indication that it would indeed be XBox Live compatible? There has been some suspicion aroused of late that it might not be.
Yes, the game will be online for the Xbox 360. Here are the features:
- 4-player in these game modes: Stroke, Skins, 3-hole minigame, Fourball, Best Ball, and Alternate Shot.
- Daily Tournaments with leaderboard. Played solo and score is posted to the leaderboard.
- Wagering on matches.
- Handicapped matches.
TNA Impact
Dear ING, who will be in the new TNA videogame and when will it come out?
We are IGN, ING is a financial planning group, although what's funny is my dad used to think that's where I worked. Anyway, to be honest, the game is so early at this point, I have no idea. There hasn't even been an official announcement yet from either Midway or TNA, but the game is in development, and the engine is in place. Wrestlers have already even been brought in to do mo-cap for the game, but other than that, you know about as much as I do at this point.
Clinton Portis
How would somebody like me get in contact with Clinton to do an interview?
Good luck. Unless you're with a TV station or a major media outlet who gets access to Skins games/practices, you probably have no chance. Yes, I interviewed him, and that's probably why you're asking, but it takes years to build up contacts like this. It takes a lot of work to line up these interviews. It's not like I have a rolodex of everyone in the NFL.
World Series
How could you pick the Astros to win the World Series. You're an idiot. Stick to your day job.
First, the videogame picked the Astros to win, not me (although they are my favorite team). Second, this is my day job, so by sticking to it, wouldn't that mean putting up features just like this? I'm confused.
Xbox 360
I'm a big sports gamer, and the 360 looks good so far, but is awfully expensive. I guess my question is: Is the Xbox 360 worth buying?
If you asked me a few months ago, I would've said no. The games were so early, and they really didn't look too impressive. But now that I've played near-final builds of Madden, Tiger, NBA 2K6 and NHL 2K6, I have to say, I'm putting down my money. All of these games are pretty awesome in their own right, and this might be the best system launch in terms of sports games in the history of the business. The only person not looking forward to this launch is my wife.
