April 4, 2005 - 2K Games announced today that Stronghold 2 has officially gone gold -- meaning, of course, that the strategy sequel is now officially complete. The game is scheduled to hit stores April 19.

Developed by Firefly Studios, Stronghold 2 lets you construct and maintain a castle, defending its walls from invaders and expanding its borders by attacking neighboring territories. The game offers multiple single-player campaigns, reenactments of historical sieges, multiplayer modes for up to eight players, and a full-featured mission and campaign editor.
