Preview: Kingdom of Heaven

New pics from Ridley's epic starring Orlando Bloom.

April 01, 2005 - The movie gods have blessed us with a fresh set of stills from Ridley Scott's latest historical epic Kingdom of Heaven. Click the images below to view the big ones.

Set during the 12th century in the holy city of Jerusalem, Orlando Bloom stars as a young peasant blacksmith who finds himself thrust into a decades-long war. A stranger in a strange land, he serves a doomed king, falls in love with an exotic and forbidden queen, and rises to knighthood. Ultimately he must protect the people of Jerusalem from overwhelming forces, while trying to keep the fragile peace.

In addition to Bloom, the film stars Eva Green, Jeremy Irons, David Thewlis, Brendan Gleeson, Marton Csokas, and Liam Neeson.

Ridley Scott (Gladiator) directed from a script by William Monahan.

Kingdom of Heaven hits theaters on May 6th from 20th Century Fox.
