Where There's Smoke, There's Fire
New IDW miniseries shows the bleak future.
March 23, 2005 - Today IDW Publishing announced a new upcoming three-issue miniseries by writer Alex de Campi and artist Igor Kordey. Smoke tells the story of a government assassin, Rupert Cain, as he traverses future London, otherwise known as "The Big Smoke." Don't expect the happy-go-lucky future filled with flying cars and cuddly robot dogs. Instead, Smoke is a gritty tale of terrorism in the future.
"It's
Point Blank meets
The Prisoner," said de Campi. "The story roars like a runaway freight train through a fortnight of blood and craziness in London as two people try to do the right thing, and in so doing get caught up in a political game with global ramifications."
Look for each 48-page issue of
Smoke to ship monthly beginning in May.
