San Andreas Xbox Commercial
A thirty second tv spot that is a shortened version of the sixty second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas just aired on TBS Superstation during Family Guy. At the end, it said "Coming Soon to Xbox" at the top, but there was no mention of the PC version anywhere (don't worry about that though). This may not be brand new, but it is at least relatively new. Let me know if you saw this one before by responding in the news comments!
So it's April Fools day and I don't have anything up to fool you! That's because I believe that people have overdone things on April 1st way too much over the past few years and fooling someone is about as hard as putting a camel through the eye of a needle. I received a video from an "anonymous source" telling me that it's from GTA PSP. I even saw several websites put the video up, except the problem is that they posted the news yesterday, which I am pretty sure is against the April Fool's rules (but does that really matter). It's nothing more than GTA III video that was transferred to a memory stick on the PSP. Nothing more. Ya, I know...I am a party pooper.
GTA III Multiplayer Video
I have created a video for all of you that are skeptical about playing
Multi Theft Auto. The video shows two minutes of gameplay including gunfights and some in-car action. There are two versions for download. One very hi-res 34MB version is available
here and another smaller 17MB version is available
here.
Also, if you have any ideas for new features on the website or any comments/suggestions/questions, let me know in
this section of the forums. You do not have to
register to post in that section of the
forums.
The
Video Review Centre guys have put up today's review and video! Tell them what you thought in
the forums.
Submit your video descriptions to Blackstar so he can get it reviewed!
GTA III Stunting Round One
Faithful GTA stunter TWA shows off his double-flip ability in the first round of GTA III stunts for the new feature on this site. This video contains two quick stunts set to "Push it to the Limit." Download the
video or
replays and then prove that you can do better stunts by
sending in your replay .rep files to Jordan! Let me know if you have questions/comments by asking in the news comments section.
I have the
results of the
survey of the twenty randomly-selected GTA-related questions that I put up on the website back on March 19. I want to thank all of those that participated, and I hope to be able to use your answers to make future website decisions that will have a positive impact on the GTA community.
I am starting a new feature where you all - the fans - send in your best
GTA III stunts. Rules are that it must be from
GTA III, not GTA:Liberty City. They can be MTA replays if you wish. Also, you must only send in your .rep (replay) files to
jordan@planetgrandtheftauto.com in order to qualify to have your stunt go up on the website. I am hoping to make this something that I update more than once a week with the goal being once a day, but sooner or later we'll run out of stunts since its
GTA III. But, we'll probably run out by the time
San Andreas comes out for PC, which is just fine with me. Send in your replays today!
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be released for the PC on June 7, 2005 and it looks like it will be one of the first PC games to not be distributed on CD-ROM. Here is an e-mail written by someone that ordered the game from the
Rockstar Warehouse with the reply from Rockstar first and the question second:
Hi -------,
This game will be available on June 7th. We will try to ship it a day earlier but cannot promise that we will get it in time to ship before the 7th. To answer your DVD question, the game will only be available on DVD.
Thanks for your order!

Ive since then added you to my allowed senders list I had a few questions concerning my pre-order of gta san andreas I noticed on take2s uk site it says it will be released on DVD and on the North American site it says PC CD ROM and DVD and was wondering what type I will be getting I prefer it on DVD if I have a choice also I was wondering if it will shipped to arrive on june 7 or will shipping start june 7?
This is still unconfirmed. Hopefully, we can get an official response on this issue soon. Thanks to
GTAForums.
I don't usually shop at Walmart, but the usual grocery store that I went to didn't have a certain product that I wanted. So, I got in my car and went to Walmart. The usual crowd was there: crying/yelling kids (and parents), "country folk" with dental issues and old people pushing their shopping carts at incredibly slow rates. On top of that, you get the feeling that you are killing the so-called "mom and pop stores," but lets move on.
After I picked up some groceries, I headed over to the electronics section to look at PC games. I was looking to buy
Midnight Club 2, but I later learned that the PC version of that very game has been discontinued and is not available to buy as "new" anywhere. Then, I saw the
GTA Classics Collection which included
Grand Theft Auto,
Grand Theft Auto:London and
GTA2.
GTA and
GTA2 are now free, but
GTA:London is not. I decided to buy the game for the sake of having hard copies of the originals.
I got up to the checkout aisles, and opted for the self-checkout. When I scanned the
GTA Classics Collection, it said that it required for the head cashier to check my identification to make sure I was old enough. I went over and showed her my license and then she came over to override the machine to make it "ok" and it said it was a "21+" item. I asked her, "do you have to be 21 to buy this?" "Yes," she replied. Luckily, I was 21 but I had thought that the rule would be 17+ or 18+. Despite all of the problems I have with Walmart, I am glad they are checking ID's, but why 21+ to buy GTA games?
