                      Extra Non-Primary Objectives FAQ



All men will eventually slip. 260 days later, a bitch will ensnare him through 
alimony for all eternity. Note that failure of secondary objectives in the 
current level will make them primary objectives in the next level.

Lighthouse
The bonus objectives in this stage are weapons crates. Fisher can identify 
these boxes using electromagnetic vision, since the game marks them 
as "electrical devices"; this presumably allows Fisher to engage in the 
operate (non-door) object motions.

Weapons Crates

#1 - The empty jail cell past the cave with the diesel generator. A single 
guard is usually here.

#2 - The tunnel right before Morgenholt's torture chamber, with a diesel 
generator. A guard is patrolling here, if he was not killed in the cave.

#3 - Past Morgenholt's torture chamber, there are two tents outside; one of 
the tents has a box. The only thing to watch for is the large spotlight that 
can reveal Fisher prematurely.

#4 - Below the wooden walkway leading to the laptop referred in Grim's 
transmission after Morgenholt's little  "situation". This small outside area 
has two guards talking about Lacerda's whereabouts which in turn leads to the 
cancellation of the Eliminate Hugo Lacerda objective.

#5 - The small room next to the cannons on the rampart. Use electro-mag 
detection to locate the box, if you are unsure of the exact where abouts.



Cargo Freighter
The bonus objectives in the ship are weapons crates Fisher can identify using 
electromagnetic vision. Most are out in the open, but some are out of the way 
and hidden in the dark corners of the ship. Unlike Metal Gear Crap, Fisher 
should not expect to survive if enough alarms are triggered, so take the whole 
stage slowly and stash those bodies.

Weapon Crates

#1 - Inside the first cargo hold where Redding transmits a report on the 
weapons crates. This is before the transmission regarding the hull leak, but 
in the same room. The box is on ground level.

#2 - After the engine room (with the gas leak) but before climbing the stairs 
to the transit ledger office, there is a hall behind the stairs leading to the 
box. This is one box most players miss since the corridor is really, really 
hidden in the darkness.

#3 - Head past the office with the transit ledgers and go past the sickbay. A 
box is under the stairs past the aforementioned rooms in the ship exterior. 

#4 - Inside the ship's galley, near the meat locker. This is the deck above 
the sickbay and transit ledger office.

#5 - Under the stairs near the captain's quarters. This is inside the ship. 
Note if Lacerda is spawned (only after you learn of his location), this box 
may be in a patrol path. Fisher should snap up this box first and then spawn 
Lacerda by interrogating the captain or checking the logbooks in the security 
room.

#6 - Below the exfiltration point, on the rear deck. The three guards that 
patrol there can be taken out quickly with the sticky cam's gas attack and 
several NATO rounds to vital areas (preferably after their balls are blown off 
while their wives watch). Personally, a knife would be a much more satisfying 
means of torture, but then, that's just me.

Lacerda's Panama Contact

Lacerda's Panama contact is an eavesdropping objective. Don't open any doors 
or turn off any lights to spook Lacerda before he appears (when his location 
is known). Eavesdropping on Lacerda will clear this objective.

Interrogate Lacerda

This is a bonus objective you don't get unless you discover it. Interrogate 
Lacerda when he fetches a drink. If Fisher doesn't cause alarms and strangles 
Lacerda quietly, he can douse the lights (switch object) in the liquor cabinet 
room and knife each guard as he strolls into the dark to investigate.



The Bank
The bonus objectives in the bank are eight PCs Fisher needs to hack into to 
place fake e-mails to make it look like Ocean's Eleven and a Half. Shutdown 
the PCs (and turn off the screens) of the ones checked to keep track of the 
PCs investigated. Be sure to save before and after each good hacking attempt; 
if you fail a hack, you trigger alarms.

PC Locations (Fake E-mails)

#1 - The bank's front reception desk. The camera will not see Fisher when he 
can access the PC, but if you are paranoid about bad brushing, by all means 
darken the whole place.

#2 - First floor security room leading to the main vault. This small room has 
three guards inside; all can be grabbed and throttled.

#3 - The bank officer's office opposite the vault security room described in 
#2.

#4 - The large security room on the first floor. This is the "real" security 
room, not the podunk one next to the vault's entrance.

#5 - Second floor reception, in the area with the laser trapped floor and 
Grim's tranmission regarding them. Move behind the reception desk and use the 
PC. Don't leave without the body or those lasers trip alarms.

#6 - The main security office on the second floor. Grab all the guards and 
then try to quicksave. Messing up on the hacking gets you alarms.

#7 - The bank president's office. This is the office on the second floor with 
the domed skylight and a balcony overlooking a small garden. That's my dream 
office, except instead of a Echelon operative, I have half-nekkid teen girls 
frolicking in my workspace. In summer. By the beach. At 8 o'clock. In Pasedena.

#8 - Inside the main vault. It's the only PC inside. Finding it is not a hard 
task.

Destroy Video Evidence

Hacking the PC in the main security office, second floor can destroy all the 
video evidence of the break-in. An easy task if you're trying to find all the 
PCs in the first place. Goal!



Penthouse
The bonus objectives in Zherkhazy's's penthouse are six thermographic cameras 
that need to be tapped. Fisher cannot hide from these cameras since they can 
see in the dark. Use nightvision to detect their cone of vision or fry their 
systems temporarily using the OCP. Most of the time, use the whistle to lure 
guards towards Fisher (away from the cameras) so he can have some neck-
snapping, heart-pushing, baby spearing, nun-raping fun.

Thermographic Cameras

#1 - Redding will contact Fisher about the cameras here, so the camera in 
question is rather obvious. In case you're a moron and missed it, go past the 
PC PC with the architectural plans and look for a small flat rooftop with 
stairs that joins the rest of the penthouse to Dvorak's domain (little nerd 
joke there).

#2 - In a portico (small yard on the roof) under a trellis (wood beams 
overhead) just past the guest room with the bad rock music. A guard is on the 
bed listening to the bad rock (who the hell is that?) and another guard nearby 
gives up the secondary ojective (Milan Nevich) when interrogated.

#3 - In a short hallway leading to a busted lift. This hallway is adjacent to 
the living room and camera #4.

#4 - In the living room. The tapestries literally shows Fisher the path to 
take.

#5 - Bedroom on the second floor. The impressive looking three-screen PC the 
camera overlooks has nothing, so look for the panic room instead of attempting 
to hack that mega-PC.

#6 - Inside the greenhouse on the second floor.

The 'Who's In Charge' Question

This is a secondary objective. The guard patrolling the balcony near camera #3 
yields this objective if interrogated. The best way to get to him is to mantle 
over the open window and grab him when he is turned away. Do throw him off the 
building when you're done. This is why I like videogames. If I did this in 
real life, I'd incur legal and financial problems.



Displace Building
The offices of Displace International has a load of extra objectives. From 
inserting tracer programs to hacking to eavesdropping with the EEV. There's a 
lot of stuff to do, so save often and be sure to have a back-up save in case 
something happens and you miss an objective.

Uploading Grim's Trace Programs

#1 - The operations room (lecture hall) near where Fisher makes his trespass. 
It's easier to approach it from the bottom (where the bathrooms are) and palm 
strike the guard in the room. The PC you're looking for is at the top of the 
lecture hall. Simply hack in and place the tracer while reading all the other 
info.

#2 - The exercise room, on the same floor as #1. The room is has a guard 
running on an exercise bicycle and is adjacent to the one where two guards 
talk about Prince of Persia.

#3 - The Displace gun range PC. Actually, it is the PC in small server room on 
the upper level. That room has a vent leading to the main (primary) server 
room.

Corporate VIP Reports

VIP Detail Reports on various PCs in Displace. All the PCs you encounter have 
reports of some sort on them (usually). Check each one and then shut them off 
to "clear them" Be methodical and you can't miss. Check the lecture hall 
(operations room). Check the exercise room and gun range PCs regarding turret 
data. 

Finding Info On Milan Nedich

Thanks to jddf07 on IGN's Splinter Cell message board for the Milan Nedich 
secondary objective solution. 

jddf07

Laser mic and record (by zooming in with the EEV) the conversation on the 
third floor when a merc is assigned to the penthouse by an executive (the room 
is first one on your right when you get off the elevators on the third floor). 
Aim the EEV (binoculars) at the glass. This is the ONLY way to get credit for 
listening to the conversation.

Note that if this is done correctly and the conversation is recorded in full, 
the mercenary inside the small room will sit down instead of ambling out and 
back to his desk.



Hokkaido
Disable microphones in residence. Microphones can be found in EM or thermal 
vision mode, but they are quite scattered all over the place, so be on the 
look-out for them.

Microphones

#1 - The first room with a phone after two guards talk about ninjas. It's 
behind a wall scroll.

#2 - Past the ofuro (hot tub) room and kitchen, Fisher overhears two guards 
talking about bugs. It is in the dining area (remember this is Japan, so don't 
look for chairs) that overlooks a small garden area with bamboo plants. The 
kitchen and a bathroom are nearby. The microphone is again behind a wall 
scroll.

#3 - In the area where a Buddha statue is. Look for the microphone next to a 
phone in the bedroom. Note that Milan Nedich's phone conversation can be heard 
throughout this area (past the large garden), in case you're completely lost.

#4 - After assassinating Nedich, Fisher drops into the servants' quarters. 
Look around the room with the big screen television talking about the North 
American tree slug and cut out the microphone behind the wall scroll.

#5 - In the servants' quarters, look into one of their rooms (same general 
area as #4). Behind a wall scroll.

#6 - Locate the art studio (the room with an easel) past the servants' garden. 
The microphone is behind a wall scroll.

Getting Milan Nedich's Real ID

Although a primary objective, this objective is most encountered since people 
fail or miss the secondary objective in the previous (Displace) mission. 
Inspect the two SUVs' license plates either remotely (through Fisher's 
binoculars) or by interacting with them up close. Redding sheds some light on 
the real Milan Nedich.



Bunker
Several PCs need hacking to recover repair logs for Will Redding (he's CIA). 
Fisher can also rig warheads in east and west missile bays to explode as a 
contingency. Note if you're having trouble locating the missile command 
console when the clock starts ticking, the abort console is in the control 
room overlooking these bays.

Repair Log PCs

#1 - Head past the bunker entrance and look for a small clerical area with a 
shuttered corner office. The DPRK officer inside has his butt occupying the PC 
Fisher needs. You know what to do.

#2 - The PC inside the control room above the missile loading bay. This room 
is past barracks and storeroom; country music may be heard in that room.

#3 - The PC in the missile tracking room where the base commander executes a 
technician for gross negligence. It's one of the PCs in the upper level.

#4 - The PC under the west missile bay's control room; this is the one next to 
the exfil point (GTerrik).

Rig Warheads

There are two warheads in the east and west missile bays that can have their 
wires bypassed to explode on Lambert's command. Rig them and complete this 
ugly contingency.

Interrogate Base Commander

The guy who shoots his subordinate for dereliction of duty is the man to mark. 
Grab him as he's walking back to his office and you can get this bonus 
objective. Timing, as always, is everything.



Seoul
There are two maps to this stage (damn!). Some objectives only appear in part 
one, some in part two. Miss out one and you have to restart it completely.

Loudspakers (Part One)

#1 - On the right side of street when facing away from the first truck. This 
is presumably after the special forces interrogation (chances are you'll fail 
if anything else is attempted). Check EM vision to see where any plausible 
wires and set-ups are. Two spherical lanterns are overhead.

#2 - To the passenger side of the first mobile HQ, near some umbrella covered 
tables.

#3 - On top of the ladder, just outside of the NDT building. It is next to an 
air vent.

P3R portable radar sets (Part two)

#1 - Right near the beginning where Fisher encounters a DPRK UAV for the first 
time.

#2 - On second rooftop, on top of the office's roof. This is after a hand over 
hand pipe exercise. Some SC-20K ammo is near this radar set.

#3 - Across from the broken bathrooms, on a small rooftop (it's a restaurant) 
and in plain sight of a second DPRK UAV.

#4 - On the building rooftop after first IFV (infantry fighting vehicle). The 
uneducated may refer to this as a tank or APC.

#5 - On a rooftop next to the crashed EWAC. A pipe near the two EWAC pilots 
may be used to reach it.

Mobile HQ (Parts One and Two)

These are not hard to find. Look for large U-Haul vans with a shitload of 
electronics inside. Those are mobile HQs. This is a secondary objective in the 
first part, but a primary objective if the first mobile HQ is missed in the 
first part of Seoul.

UAV Intel (Part Two)

Inside the restaurant (the building with several open/destroyed floors), 
descend to the bottom and locate a broken UAV on a kitchen table. The PC has 
the files Fisher wants. Note this is right before the "Do Not Kill ROK forces" 
objective.

Destroy Enemy Armor (Part Two)

The first IFV is right after the restaurant. Douse all the lights -- 
hopefully, you were smart enough to bring an assault kit to use the sniper 
attachment. Kill the enemies, disable your "friends", and douse the street 
lights to sneak past the IFV. Get on top of the roof near the P3R and toss a 
frag grenade into the gunner's hatch. The second IFV is after the second 
mobile HQ. Get on top of the scaffolding next to it and blow the hatch using 
frags.

Save The EWAC Pilots (Part Two)

When Fisher gets to the EWAC, rescue both pilots (watch for the spawning 
enemy) and take them into a side alley to save them when the bombs land to 
complete another objective.



Bathhouse
Tapping all bathouse phone boxes is a piece of cake in this mission; the hard 
part is surviving the final section to defuse the bombs. Luckily, I don't give 
a shit about how you do it; just some advice: have a back-up save before that 
section (preferably after the firefight but before the bombs) and bring an 
assault kit, but don't use any of the sniper or shotgun ammo until you need 
it. When defusing the bombs, use quicksaves until you're really, really clear 
of the bomb room (mostly of enemies). Luck to you on Extreme difficulty.

Phone Boxes

#1 - The starting alley where repair guy is working. It's in the corner of the 
street.

#2 - The phone box in drained swimming pool. Never visitted a public indoor 
pool? Find some images of one online and drain it with your mind. That's what 
you're looking for.

#3 - The reception desk past steam baths. Fisher passes by a gun turret before 
this area.

Find out who gave the ISDF their orders

The ISDF orders are on PCs in the barred surveillance room. Get in through the 
vent in the bathouse owner's office. Alternately, interrogating an ISDF guard 
in that survelliance room does the same damn thing.

Get The Chaos Theory

Hack Shetland's PC in the bath house (the laptop in the meeting area). This 
will give you some background on "The Chaos Theory" and fulfill an extra 
objective.



Kokubo Sosho
There is one bonus objective in this stage, and it is easy to miss it since 
you only have one chance to do it. During the countdown, hack into and access 
the I-SDF server before destroying it to get this objective. You only have one 
chance and only three lock spots for the hacking. Luck plays a big part in 
this objective.
