March 30, 2005 - IGN learned today InterServ International, the development team behind the 16-player online fighting game Iron Phoenix, has plans to develop for the Xbox 2/Xbox 360.

Called Condor Trilogy Online and due in 2006, InterServ appears to be among a select handful of Asian developers able to obtain development kits and an OK from Microsoft to develop games of the upcoming next-generation console, according to digitimes.com, which spoke with company Managing Director Sheree Tsao.

Development is estimated at about five to 10 times more than a standard Xbox game, Tsao said, who added Microsoft is attempting to thwart those costs through the software production development kit, XNA Studio.

No details were revealed regarding the game's theme, genre, or publisher.

We'll have more on Condor Trilogy Online come E3.
