Introduction to Turbines Director of Community Relations Print News | Mail News My name is Jonathan Hanna (aka, Calandryll) and I am the Director of Community Relations for Turbine, Inc. Before I get into what that means, let me tell you a little about myself. I�ve been in the games industry for over 7 years now as a Community Relations representative and game designer for a variety of MMOGs. Before getting into games I was in Marketing for products such as blank audio tape and home alarm systems. But I left the �glamorous� life of selling 10-packs of audio tape and infra-red motion detectors behind when I took an opportunity to work in the marketing department for a start-up gaming company. Needless to say, I�ve never looked back.
I�ve been a gamer all my life, starting with pen-and-paper games and then moving to computer games when I got my first Commodore 64. I still joke with my dad who used to tell me to do my homework instead of play games all day. �You can�t get a job with the high score in Asteroids!� Of course, now he tells all of his friends how he�s the one who bought me my first computer and started me on my way in the gaming industry. Funny how that all worked out.

The Future of Coldeve Take 2 Print News | Mail News There has been a devolopment for the furture of Coldeve. Long story short the server is going to go away as planned but all players on white server will have the option to flag themselves as KvK so they can interact just as they would on a KvK server.
Legions Interview Print News | Mail News RPG Vault has landed a really nice interview with Producer Eric Heimburg who guides us through Turbine's expansion, which will add two playable races and a new land. Go check it out.
When Turbine's Asheron's Call 2: Legions expansion goes live, which is slated to happen in May, it will add these two playable options along with a number of other features and elements. One is the vast continent of Knorr, which will expand the gameworld by approximately 30 percent.
The purpose of this letter is to discuss the status of our Kingdom vs. Kingdom (KvK) server, Coldeve, a situation I know most of you are familiar with.
On March 16th, we will merge Coldeve with Frostfell. The community discussion of such a merge has usually assumed a merge of Coldeve and Darktide, and we considered that option. We are convinced it would not be in the best interest of the majority of Coldeve players. On Frostfell, players can participate KvK content such as the castle raid dynamic, and other types of content being added in Legions and beyond. Though some Coldeve players would prefer to be merged with Darktide, they are in the vocal minority.
