March 10, 2005 - A Reuters story posted today is reporting that Apple Computer has joined the Blu-ray consortium, adding yet another member to its board. In the heated battle with HD-DVD, this is yet another strong partner that the Blu-ray forum has to strengthen its side.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs also serves as the chief executive of Pixar, who's current catalog of movies are under Walt Disney Pictures, which is yet another member of the Blu-ray board.
