February 16, 2005 - Warner Home Video has announced single and two-disc editions of Phantom of the Opera, Joel Schumacher's film adaptation of the legendary play, both of which are due May 3. The single-disc version will carry a suggested price of $27.95 while the two-disc collector's edition will carry a $29.95 price tag

Both discs will feature a 2.40:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The difference between the two is that the single-disc release has no extras, while the two-disc release will come with documentaries on the musical's legacy and the making of the film.
