March 04, 2005 - Robots, the new CG-animated comedy from 20th Century Fox and the creators of Ice Age, doesn't hit the big screen until next Friday, but you can watch a little bit of it today here on IGN FilmForce. We've got an exclusive three-minute clip from the film posted below. Dig? Dig!

The film, set in a world populated entirely by robots, centers around Rodney Copperbottom (voiced by Ewan McGregor). Rodney is a young genius inventor who dreams of helping robots everywhere, but he finds his dream challenged by a corporate tyrant, Ratchet (Greg Kinnear), while having to contend with the advances of a savvy corporate robot, Cappy (Halle Berry).

Bigweld (Mel Brooks), is a master inventor who has lost his way; and a there's group of misfit robots known as the Rusties, led by Fender (Robin Williams) and Piper Pinwheeler (Amanda Bynes), his tomboy kid sister. As Rodney fulfills Fender's ongoing need for repairs, the two become fast friends.

The film's voice cast also includes Drew Carey and Jennifer Coolidge, with cameo voice "appearances" by Jay Leno, Dan Hedaya, James Earl Jones, Al Roker, Stephen Tobolowsky and Terry Bradshaw.

Chris Wedge (Ice Age, Bunny) directed Robots with Carlos Saldanha. The screenplay was penned by David Lindsay-Abaire and Lawell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel.

Robots opens next Friday, March 11th.
