Babylon 5 Movie Dead?
Babylon 5 star and occasional Lost guest star Mira Furlan told
an audience at a science fiction convention in Missouri last weekend that the
film is "dead".
It hasn't been any secret that fans and original cast members have been upset by rumored attempts by Warner Brothers to possibly re-cast some of the principal characters in the film. A campaign by Babylon 5 fans to retain the original cast had been launched weeks ago, then news started floating around that actor Tom Sizemore had been picked to star in the film. Sizemore then got caught trying to fake a urine analysis, a provision of his probation and looks like he's going to be spending some time in L.A. County's special Robert Downey, Jr. suite. Given the problems the production has had so far, it's not surprising that Warners would look at shelving the project for the time being.
