May 23, 2002 - When it comes to RPGs, Squaresoft seems to know the right formula. Famous for it's Final Fantasy Franchise Squaresoft has been known to try out every genre. Other titles include the Parasite Eve series, Chrono Trigger, and Tobal. This year Squaresoft's booth was kind of small. In fact so small they were just one corner of Sony's massive floor space.

Kingdom Hearts

Platforms: PlayStation 2
Genre: Action/Adventure
Squaresoft and Disney combine to give you the ultimate experience in this action/adventure game. This was actually the only game to be found at this booth. There were many playable versions of the game. IGN has been brining you coverage of this title for the past couple months now.

Final Fantasy XI

Developer: Square
Platforms: PlayStation 2
Genre: Persistent Online
Square's flagship title goes online. Customize your very own character and travel through beautifully 3D rendered worlds. IGN had to go to travel from the Squaresoft booth through Sony until you reach the group of eight playable machines.
