Square Electronic Arts L.L.C.(Square EA) was established in May 1998 as the publisher for all future interactive entertainment titles created by Square with exclusive publishing rights in North America.
This is one of the two new joint ventures created between industry leaders Square and Electronic Arts. In Japan, Electronic Arts Square KK (EA Square) was established, based in Tokyo.
