February 14, 2005 - Interviewing Robin Williams is an experience. If you've ever seen him on late night TV and thought, 'That has to be scripted, no one is that quick,' let me be the one to tell you, oh yes, he is that quick. He is razor sharp.

Reigning Williams in becomes a task in itself, but at a point, you just don't care. He's like a child with intense ADD, frantically jumping from subject to subject, wherever the laughs may lie. However, unlike dealing with a difficult child, you are too busy laughing at Williams to care if he ever gets back to the subject at hand.

This weekend I had the extreme pleasure of talking to Williams at the junket for the upcoming Fox CG film, Robots, in which Williams plays Fender.

During the course of the high energy interview, Williams bridged a number of topics which will be the focus in our upcoming feature interview with Williams. Along the way, we bridged the topic of his previous Disney fallouts over the licensing, or over-licensing, of Aladdin. The subject of Pixar's departure from Disney came up, and Williams went on an incredible riff that, well, I just simply can't do justice describing.
