January 27, 2005 - At the Konami Gamers Day in San Francisco, Konami revealed Lost in Blue for the Nintendo DS, a follow-up to the company's Survival Kids adventure previously released on the Game Boy system.
Players must hone their skills at all sorts of survival tasks, including hunting animals and gathering supplies, as well as cooking the food for sustenance. It's also important to establish a good relationship between the two characters, since the game's ending depends on your social skills and how you've developed the friendship and lifestyle on the island. There's also a second adventure after the first one ends where players take control of the girl and get a completely different adventure experience.
The Nintendo DS game will utilize the system's 3D capabilities for the adventure. Lost in Blue will also put to use the Nintendo DS' touch screen control during challenging mini-games and puzzle elements.
Konami expects to ship Lost in Blue in North America this August. Have a look at the first screens and footage of the game by hitting the media links below.
