February 09, 2005 - The 2005 Saturn Award nominations have been announced by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films.  Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban leads the genre pack this year with nine nominations including Best Picture (Fantasy), Best Director (Alfonso Cuaron) and Best Writer (Steve Kloves). Additionally, Potter thesp Daniel Radcliffe received a nod for Best Performance By A Younger Actor.

Kill Bill: Vol. 2 and Spider-Man 2 both picked up seven nominations, while Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, and Van Helsing each received five nominations. Collateral and House of Flying Daggers had four nods.

TV nominees for this year included Lost, topping the list with five, The Librarian: Quest for the Spear, Smallville, and Stargate: SG-1 all with four.

The Saturns are chosen by the Board of Directors of The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films and will be doled out on Tuesday, May 3, at the Universal City Hilton Hotel.
