BERJAYA
Gaming Life in Japan
Special Nintendo goodies, magazine info, commercials and more.
-

BERJAYA As IGN continued to play games like Radiata Stories and Resident Evil 4, Sony Computer Entertainment took a jab in the next generation fight by debuting the Cell processor... in America. If we liken Cell's debut to the debut of the Emotion Engine, we can expect the PS3 to show face prior to Sony's full E3 blitz... in Japan. Aah, Japanese national pride... keeping IGN Japan alive.

Aside from Cell, there were a few big headlines from Japan this week. Square Enix announced a final release date for Romancing Saga, as well as a bonus CD promotion. Bandai announced a number of anime conversions. And, of course, Namco and Capcom shocked everyone with the announcement of a Monolith-developed crossover title. Be sure and check out the next page for all our headlines from the past week, just to make sure you didn't miss out on anything.

This week's Gaming Life in Japan features all the usual sections, including a look at the latest issues of three Japanese magazines, an updated release list (check out PlayStation 2's massive 2/24 release lineup) and lots of commercials and print ads. Plus, new in Japanese Swag are some awesome Nintendo products that any Nintendo fanatic would kill for (and even if you did off our mortal enemies for us, we still wouldn't give them to you).

First, turn the page for the week in review.
