February 02, 2005 - Universal Home Video will release the David Lynch version of Frank Herbert's Dune, featuring Kyle MacLachlan, Virginia Madsen, Patrick Stewart and Sting, with a new cut almost one hour longer than the original. The DVD will ship on May 10 for a suggested price of $27.98.

Universal will offer the film in a two-disc set with both the original 127 minute cut and the new 190 minute cut. There will also be documentaries and deleted scenes, however, we don't have the specifics on these extras yet. We'll let you know when more information comes in.
