January 18, 2005 - On Tuesday February 8th Lost Highway Records will release the soundtrack to the HBO series Deadwood. The soundtrack is being released in conjunction with the release of the first season of the show on DVD.

There will be two versions of the CD, one consisting of nothing by music tracks from artists includingp Lyle Lovett, June Carter Cash, Jelly Roll Morton, Mississippi John Hurt, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGee, Bukka White and others, plus the "Theme From Deadwood" by David Schwartz.

The second version of the CD includes memorable snippets of dialogue from show's colorful cast of characters including Al Swearengen, Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock. This often-explicit dialog will be peppered throughout the soundtrack amongst the songs.
