February 02, 2005 - Warner Home Video will release Exorcist: The Beginning, the Renny Harlin-directed flick starring Stellan Skarsgard, on March 1 for a suggested price of $27.95. The film is a prequel to the original film and traces Father Merrin and his first encounter with the demon that possessed Regan while he was in Africa.

The film will be presented in 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen and sport an English Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. The only extras appear to be an audio commentary with Harlin, a making-of featurette and the film's trailer.
