January 28, 2005 - Todd McFarlane will bring the comic book Twisted Tales to Fox Television's alternative division as a new anthology series. It will be executive produced by Don Murphy (Iron Man) and his Angry Films shingle.

Trey Callaway (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, UPN's Mercy Point) will serve as exec producer-showrunner, according to Variety.

The trade says the half-hour episodes "will focus on tales of horror, fantasy or sci-fi. McFarlane will serve as a Rod Serling-like host, introducing each episode from a fake basement."

Murphy advised Variety that "other series went to the easier fit idea of multiple stories in an hour, and inevitably one of the stories was bad. Here it's one story, one episode, bang – we gotcha."
