December 20, 2004 - If, for some resaon, you missed the first-ever GT Live event this past weekend, start kicking yourself now. GT Live took everything that is cool in the world and put it in one convenient place for all to enjoy.

Those who attended GT Live know that mere words cannot describe its sheer awesomeness. So simply saying that GT Live was packed to the brim with coolness is a gross understatement. However, we spent two incredibly full days at California Speedway covering the event, and our brains are fried. Maybe we'll be able to convey everything that was great about the event over the next few days. In the meantime, let's briefly go over what went down that fine winter weekend in SoCal...

The main purpose of GT Live is to bring the most exciting GT racing series, the Japan Grand Touring Championship, to American shores. The JGTC boasts that it is the fastest GT racing series in the world, which is no small claim. But take one look at the cars that compete in the series, and you know that the JGTC has the goods to back up that statement.

What other racing series has factory works teams battling it out in extremely high-powered Nissan 350 Zs, Honda NSXs and Ferraris? What other racing series has two different classes running at the same time, ensuring that there is always plenty of action on the track at all times? What other series brings race queens out to all events, giving us a chance to practice our nampa skills? What other racing series causes us to write entire paragraphs where every sentence is a question?

Only the JGTC -- that's who! We'll be going into the race in more detail at a later time. Why? Because even though a JGTC race is more than enough entertainment for one weekend, GT Live was able to find a way to bring even more automotive excitement. We need the time to let our brains process it all -- if we rush it, our other articles will make less sense than this one...
