October 03, 2004 - Xbox will be getting a new Platinum Pack mega bundle in Japan, Microsoft revealed today. On 11/18, gamers will be able to pick up a package containing the Xbox system, DVD playback kit, two months of Xbox live, Blinx 2, Top Spin, Halo (Platinum Collection version) and Project Gotham Racing 2 (Platinum Collection version). All of this will be sold for 19,000 yen (about $180).

This latest set represents the third such one for Microsoft. The release of platinum sets are usually followed by a slight surge in sales, tapering off to normal levels the week following.
