"There�s been an uprising of Villain on Villain violence on the Training Room server and it is starting to spill into the streets of the city.
I have contacted the Paragon City Council (PCC) to coordinate an effort to clean up the city streets.
The PCC will convene on the Test Server at 7pm Pacific Time/9pm Central Time today, Monday, December 13, 2004 in all areas of the city. Reports indicate that it could take days to get Paragon City back under control. We ask all available heroes to attend regardless of security level.
Further instructions will be given by the PCC at that time via the city-wide emergency broadcast system."

"Hello Heroes!
Free Expansion Issue #3 ("A Council of War") content is now available for download prior to being released on the live servers. So give yourself a head start!
The download will begin after you exit your play session rather than prior to entering the game, and is purely optional � you can cancel at anytime.
It�s important to note that you won�t be able to see or experience the "A Council of War" content until it has been officially released on the live servers. However, receiving it ahead of time will allow you to play right away once the content is available, instead of waiting for a large patch to download.
Remember � you can cancel the download at anytime. Your progress will be saved and you can resume downloading the content the next time you�re done playing City of Heroes."

NCsoft and Cryptic Studios will be attending Gen Con So Cal 2004 on December 2-5, 2004. Jack "Statesman" Emmert will be there as a speaker and will be also running trivia contests. How do you view The Matrix Online? It seems to be offering some of the same features as City of Heroes.
Jack Emmert: I'm never worried about another game until it's released so I can't really comment. I wish them all the luck in the world. They've got a great license but it'll be a challenge to bring it to life. I do think it'll be a very different kind of game and attract very different players to City of Heroes.
