December 13, 2004 - George Clooney and the all-star cast of Ocean's Twelve made off with the bulk of the box office loot this weekend! The Steven Soderberg-directed sequel to Ocean's Eleven debuted in the top spot with $39.2 million.
Nicolas Cage's National Treasure dropped to third, but continued to bring in substantial coin with a three-day take of $9.8 million.
The Polar Express fell to fourth this weekend with $9.6 million. Now in its fifth week of release, the Christmas-themed adventure has grossed $109.8 million.
Another holiday flick, Christmas with the Kranks, fell from second to fifth with $7.6 million.
Disney and Pixar's The Incredibles finished in the sixth spot this weekend with just over $5 million. The film, which debuted six weeks ago, has made an incredible $232.6 million.
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, the film debut of everyone's favorite animated sponge, placed seventh with $4.4 million.
Mike Nichols' Closer was eighth with $3.7 million. It's showing on 622 screens.
Finding Neverland, playing on 537 screens, placed ninth with $1.7 million.
Rounding out the top ten this weekend, Colin Farrell's Alexander ended the weekend with $1.5 million.
