Exclusive: The Ring Two Teaser Poster
When I first saw The Ring I felt that you've got to give the makers of that movie credit because there truly is something so simply unsettling, just to-the-core unnerving about a little girl with her hair pulled over the front of her face. (If this is in some way connected to my reaction: my Aunt Kayla, who has straight black hair, used to pull her hair around like that to scare the hell out of me when I was a kid. It really worked.)
The Ring Two has Naomi Watts (21 Grams) returning as reporter Rachel Keller. After the events that transpired in the first film enough to freak out any mild-mannered reporter Keller and her son, Aidan (David Dorfman), move to Astoria, Oregon. It's while reporting on the suspicious death of a local that a piece of evidence from the scene is brought to Keller's attention: a videotape. And she realizes that the dreaded Samara is intent to continue taking lives. Along for the ride this time around is Simon Baker (Red Planet), Elizabeth Perkins (About Last Night...) and Sissy Spacek. It's nice to see Spacek back doing the horror thing. As you know, she can be rather creepy when she wants to be.
I think what she (or it) is saying is: "My baby told me to" and "The dead don't dream... and the dead never sleep... they wait... they watch for a way to get back." Fear will come full circle on March 18th. The poster says March, but as it stands, 18th is the date. It could change though, so pencil it in.
