'A Council of War' Ready For Download! Print News | Mail News Issue #3 is getting closer and it is now available for download on the live servers.
"Hello Heroes!
Free Expansion Issue #3 ("A Council of War") content is now available for download prior to being released on the live servers. So give yourself a head start!
The download will begin after you exit your play session rather than prior to entering the game, and is purely optional � you can cancel at anytime.
It�s important to note that you won�t be able to see or experience the "A Council of War" content until it has been officially released on the live servers. However, receiving it ahead of time will allow you to play right away once the content is available, instead of waiting for a large patch to download.
Remember � you can cancel the download at anytime. Your progress will be saved and you can resume downloading the content the next time you�re done playing City of Heroes."

NCsoft and Cryptic Studios will be attending Gen Con So Cal 2004 on December 2-5, 2004. Jack "Statesman" Emmert will be there as a speaker and will be also running trivia contests. The City of Heroes UK and EU sites just launched with the French and German sites to follow shortly.

How do you view The Matrix Online? It seems to be offering some of the same features as City of Heroes.
Jack Emmert: I'm never worried about another game until it's released so I can't really comment. I wish them all the luck in the world. They've got a great license but it'll be a challenge to bring it to life. I do think it'll be a very different kind of game and attract very different players to City of Heroes.

CoH Vault is Looking For 3 Staff Members! [Post A Comment] - Print News | Mail News The CoH Vault is looking for 3 more staff members: 2 Strategy/Guide Writers and 1 Editorialist.
The Strategy/Guide writers will need to focus on Issue #3 at first, so good working knowledge (or willingness to get on the test server and learn!) of this next huge update is a definate plus!
The Editorialist will need to submit one editorial every other week on just about anything they'd like (within reason...*grin*).
All volunteer positions are unpaid but you receive perks after certain requirements are met (VIP status, forum colors, markup code ability on the forums, access to personalized icons, etc).
