November 12, 2004 - We can talk about the PSP all we want here at IGN -- we can gush about the system's impressive features, blow out as much info as possible on the games, put up a server-smashing number of gameplay videos, spread rumors about games that haven't gotten approval yet but are indeed deep in development ... and yet, that would all be for nothing. Because, when it comes right down to it, we know what it is that you rabid gamers really want.

Say it with me now: Box Art!

There's nothing that gets a player's blood boiling and his manhood (or lady parts) into a state of indecency like seeing the cover of a fine, young videogame. We can tell right now: just the thought of new box art is setting off the salivatory glands in many of you, as you dream of getting a hold of some brand new PSP beauties, slowly unwrapping them in your mind and anticipating the treasures held inside.

We aim to please, and to that end, we've tracked down a number of full-resolution PSP cover art pictures for the upcoming titles. The cover art for each features the standardized black PSP top slit (with the controller-shaped icon in the upper left corner to identify the product as a game and not a UMD Video or Audio release), as well as the Japanese CERO age-appropriate rating system mark. Feature support, such as WiFi, USB connectivity, etc. will be printed on the back, similar to PS2 games.

We now have box art for every know launch title, and we'll be continuing to deliver you the box art you crave as the PSP rolls along.
