Harlin Has Full Moon Fever
Dig this setup: The story is set in the not too distant future and
revolves around a group of blue-collar workers who shuttle to the moon to repair
the first lunar base, only to find it deserted. They soon discover that
they're not alone as they become prey to a pack of ravenous werewolves.
That's right... Werewolves on the moon! Get it? It's full all the
time.
The story was conceived by X-Men and Superman comic book writer Joe Casey for publisher AIT/Planet Lair. Casey first pitched the project to Askarieh at this past summer's San Diego Comic-Con. Casey is adapting the novel himself into a screenplay. In addition to the graphic novel and film, Askarieh and Alter will spear-head the development of a videogame to coincide with the film's eventual release. Regarding Harlin's involvement, Alter said in a statement, "We both think that Deep Blue Sea is one of the best films in it's genre, and I remembered that Renny was originally developing the third installment in the Alien franchise back in the early '90s. So it became a mandate to get him on this project." New Spy-Hunter Scribe Penn penning new draft.
The Rock Talks Spy-HunterDwayne gives a few brief words on the upcoming game-to-film adaptation.
Featured Filmmaker: Renny HarlinThe films and career of the man behind Die Hard 2 and The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.
