November 22, 2004 - Are you, as a dog lover, completely peeved that Nintendo decided to bring Puppy Times to the Nintendo DS, a system that you can't afford, instead of the Game Boy Advance, a system that you already own? We'll don't fret too much -- there's a solution for you in the form of Poke Inu, a dog-raising game from Japanese publisher Agatsuma Entertainment.

In Poke Inu, you interact with eight different dogs in an effort to improve your human-canine relationship. You'll be able to converse with your dog, with the dialogue changing depending on the species. You'll also be able to make the dog play games by sharing toys with it. As the player, you'll be able to play games for yourself via three mini games included in the title.

Different from Puppy Times, Poke Inu uses pictures of real dogs to add some reality to the mix. Unlike Puppy Times, though, Poke Inu probably won't be all that much fun.

A Japanese release is set for 12/9, with an American release to most likely never follow.
