November 29, 2004 - Atari has appointed industry veteran and Atari board member James Caparro as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Former CEO Bruce Bonnell will continue as Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of the publishing and development house.

Caparro comes to Atari with almost 30 years of professional experience in the entertainment industry, including ten years helming three recording industry outfits: Warner Music Group's WEA; Universal Music's Island Def Jam Music Group; and PolyGram's PolyGram Group Distribution.
