December 03, 2004 - The movie adaptation of Sega's hit videogame Alone in the Dark won't arrive in theaters until early next year, but we've got some visual treats from the film for you today. Just click the image below to view a fresh gallery of production stills from the forthcoming flick!

The story centers around paranormal investigator Edward Carnby (played by Christian Slater), as he investigates the recent, mysterious death of a friend with clues leading to "Shadow Island."  He comes face to face with bizarre horrors that prove both psychologically disturbing and lethal, as he discovers that evil demons worshiped by an ancient culture called the Abskani are planning on coming back to life in the 21st century to once again take over the world.  Tara Reid also stars as anthropologist Aline Cedrac.
