Bug Report: 08-27-04
This week every reported bug turned out to be an exploit. There is no "fix" section on these bugs because gamers have to force the outcomes described in these submissions. This does not mean that this section is no longer included, please keep sending in your bugs and your fixes for the greater good of gamers everywhere.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow (Xbox) The Bug: I've found some glitches if you people want to try them. On some levels, especially ferry boat, you can climb on chairs and stuff to get in good spots. Get parallel to whatever you want to climb on and click the left Thumbstick really fast. Submitted by thapimpsta07 Driv3r (PS2) The Bug: I found a glitch in Nice. When at the airport find the under ground parking garage, just to the right of the entrance drive a car in the grass before long you should fall beneath the game surface, kind of stupid thing to do but, since it's there why not check it out. Submitted by bop455 Driv3r (PS2) The Bug: It is possible to get under the city of Istanbul. Choose Istanbul in "Take A Ride" and choose the very top starting position. From where you start go forward and take the first left street (You will have to turn left or right, turn left). Follow forward until you get to the first street (Alley way) on your mini map. Stop there and face the buildings directly in front of the ending alley way. Almost perfectly in line with the alley is a whole in the ground on the side of the building. Jump in and when you hit the bottom you will die. It gets better. Take a car and drive it down. When you hit the bottom you and your car will bounce up and your car will spin wildly. The next time you bounce you can jump out and if you are close enough to the floor, well you will live. Your car more than likely will be destroyed. Now take a bike down and when you hit, you will be thrown off the bike. Neither the bike nor you will be dead/destroyed, thus leaving you free to ride your motorcycle under all of Istanbul. There are some invisible walls under there. If you hit one you tend to float back to the ground. You can also float up by simply walking and jumping in random places (Though hard to float back up, it does sometimes happen.) This is a good way to get away from the cops, if you can get back out. Submitted by Jonathan West Thief: Deadly Shadows (PC) The Bug: For the Hammerite and Pagan side-missions, you normally can only fulfill them for one faction or the other. The Fort Ironwood graveyard mission can be glitched slightly to gain the benefits of boths sides (although the faction meter only aggregates for one faction only). You get the Fort Ironwood graveyard side-mission after clearing the Clock tower mission and getting the Keeper Enforcers on Garrett's tail in the Old Quarter. Head to Fort Ironwood (it's easier if the Hammerites are already allied with Garrett) and enter the graveyard behind it. Garrett should avoid any pairs of Hammerites speaking about the burial of the body in the fort, as the glitch relies on not acquiring the mission note on the Fort Ironwood problem. There's a Pagan Cornerstone in the graveyard that can be "mossed"; find it near one of the columns (pagan cornerstones only appear on 90 degree corners) by the back wall of Fort Ironwood. This will accomplish the Pagan's part of the side-mission. Go past the archway under Ramien's place in Old Quarter (leads to the Docks and Shalebridge Asylum) and locate a small sewer tunnel where a Pagan Shaman would normally be. The shaman will not be there, but his wand (worth $200) will be floating in mid-air. Grab it be a bit richer. You also get the benefit of the Pagan cemetery... there'll be an earth crystal near the pagan cornerstone each following night (or the same night, if you reload the Old Quarter map). The downside of this glitch is that the undead will not disappear as they normally would when this side mission is resolved; instead, they will always be available for Garrett to be destroyed, which can be a good thing if you intend to steal repeatedly from the Hammerites -- you simply kill this endless supply of undead to return Garrett to good terms with the Hammers. WWE Smackdown! Here Comes the Pain (PS2) The Bug: This bug is for frozen characters. Edit someone's special into a spear four. Then in a triple treat match choose Rob Van Dam and the person that has the spear four. For the third person choose anyone. Have Rob Van Dam do a five star frog splash on the person that doesn't have the spear four. When Rob Van Dam is about to make a pin, quickly with the spear four, run up to the person that is getting pin and do a spear four. Submitted by William Saeteurn Tony Hawk's Underground (PS2) The Bug: I have found a glitch for T.H.U.G. on the PS2 console. First, you will need the Moon Physics cheat to get a lot more air. After getting that, take a trip to Hawaii. Go to the top of the building where you pull that huge stunt over the police helicopter (the building that you are on before you jump over the helicopter) and then go over to the quarter pipe that is on the opposite side of the roof from the elevator door. Get your sights on the ramp at the edge of the building, turn opposite of it and go up the quarter pipe for speed, come back down the quarter pipe and then boneless off of the ramp to air over the street below. Now that you are on the rooftop of the other building across the street, you should turn on the Moon Physics. Turn to face the building you were previously on, then go up the quarter pipe for speed(be careful not to air off of the building, one of the sides is a ramp), come back down the quarter pipe as straight as you can, then go up the opposite side of the quarter pipe, hitting a boneless for extra air. Spine transfer over the quarter pipe, this is a gap in a set of 4 linked gaps, this gap is called "Ludicrous Spine 3 of 4". When you reach the bottom on the other side of the spine transfer, you will have little time to react. The fourth spine transfer is right in front of you now. Do not go over it, and you don't want miss it either! When going up the final spine, pull off towards the right side of it, so that you are at an angle, going towards the boundaries of the level. Don't forget to ollie for that extra air! Don't worry about trying to squeeze in a boneless this time, you won't need it. You should completely clear the road with no problems. When you see that you are a good ways over and past the road, hit the buttons to get off of your skateboard (while you are still in the air) just so that you don't go slamming onto the ground. Now you are free to skate or walk around outside of the game area unless you hit the next set of invisible walls. If you get too close to the first set invisible walls, the game will reset you, and say that you are out of bounds. Submitted by metalgamer Perfect Dark (N64) The Bug: Start a combat simulator game in the Grid, and put some DY357's in the arena. In the pillar room, corner a sim at the elevator and shoot him. If you did this correctly the sim should be behind the walls. Sometimes they might even return! Submitted by Matt Mulhisen If you've got tips on beating any game bugs then e-mail us about it.
