    On this day 75 years ago, Ellen Wilkinson passed away. She was a working class woman who rose to become a Cabinet Secretary in Attlee's government. We post this obituary from the time in the hope that this tribute will keep alive the memory of a giant of the Labour movement.

    Oxford University Labour Club stand in full solidarity with those taking industrial action this week. Working people deserve better. Our transport workers, who keep this country running, they deserve better. #railstrike @RMTunion
