Omar Sy (disebut [ɔmaʁ si; o.mar si], lahir 20 Januari 1978) ialah seorang pelakon dan pelawak dari Perancis.
Beliau mendapat Anugerah César dalam kategori Pelakon Lelaki Terbaik untuk persembahannya dalam filem Intouchables.
Biografi

[sunting | sunting sumber]Omar dilahirkan di Trappes, kawasan Yvelines, Perancis.[1] Beliau anak keempat daripada lapan adik-beradik,[2] ayahnya seorang pekerja kilang imigran Senegal manakala ibunya seorang pencuci kediaman dari Mauritania.[2] Beliau sendiri berketurunan Fula.[3]
Kerjaya lakonan
[sunting | sunting sumber]Beliau memulakan kerjayanya dalam hiburan setelah beliau menamatkan persekolahannya tahun 1996[3] memasuki Radio Nova sebagai ahli konti bersama Fred Testot[1] - mereka berdua kekal sebagai suatu kumpulan pelawak yang bekerja sama-sama dalam komedi. Beliau turut muncul dalam siri TV Le Cinéma de Jamel Canal+ bersama Jamel Debbouze.
