A battle we won't forget: Jays fall to Liberators in close game

Last Friday night, an old nemesis rambled into town like a ghost from the past. For those who remember the Central Ozark Conference battles of the 1970s and ’80s, Bolivar’s Liberators were a familiar foe. The last time Bolivar visited Marshfield, the Blue Jays ended their 2018 season in the playoffs. Before that, the Liberators had dominated the series, winning 10 of the previous 11 games.

Fall Sports Roundup

The Lady Jays softball team continued their strong start by winning the Ozark Conference Tournament last week. They defeated Branson 4-0, Rogersville 11-0, and Carl Junction 13-2 to improve their record to 7-1. The team will compete in the Lake Ozark Tournament this weekend.
Jarrett Teel, a former Evangel tennis player, is leading the team as the Head Coach. The Lady Jays will host their debut home match on Sept. 4 at Rotary Park. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and cheer on the team as they launch a brand-new chapter in Blue Jay athletics.
