Environmental changes caused by climate change continue to impact the global economy and society. ASUS has adopted climate scenario analysis to identify potential future financial impacts related to climate change. We have adopted forward-looking and proactive climate actions, including integrating renewable energy into our business strategies, improving product energy efficiency through our software and hardware R&D capabilities, and driving a low-carbon manufacturing transformation across the supply chain. This allows us to work towards a full reduction in our carbon footprint across our operations.

Moving away from the linear economic model of take-make-dispose and transitioning toward a circular economy are crucial for corporate sustainability. ASUS includes the impact of the product life cycle into product design and continues to increase the use of environmentally friendly materials. We have developed a range of eco-friendly products to increase our green competitiveness. We also continued to expand the producer’s extended liabilities to provide take-back services worldwide and increase resource-use efficiency.

ASUS includes the sustainability performance of our suppliers as an evaluation criterion for procurement. We became a full member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) to ensure that supply chain processes comply with environmental standards, ensure labor safety and human rights across the workplace, and extend information security management to the supply chain to increase its resilience.
