One Direction (nicknamed 1D) was a British-Irish boy band. There are 5 boys in this group: Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Their fans are called Directioners. They have been together since 2010: after auditioning for Xfactor UK 2010 as solo artists they all didn't make it trough the next step so Simon Cowell decided to put them together as a band. Since then they have released three albums : Up All Night, Take Me Home, Midnight Memories, and the fourth album called Four will be released on November 17th 2014.
